Four people were hospitalized with serious injuries after a Tesla plowed into a crowd outside the Underground bar in Redlands early Sunday morning. Gunfire rang out immediately following the collision.

The Redlands Police Department stated the incident occurred before 1:30 a.m. at 19 E. Citrus Ave., near the intersection of Orange Street. Witnesses reported a fight among several people in front of the bar. Following the altercation, an individual involved left the scene in a 2022 Tesla, traveling west on Citrus Avenue.

Minutes later, the vehicle returned heading east at high speed and struck four people standing in the roadway. The impact caused the driver to lose control, and the car jumped the curb. At the same time, an unidentified individual fired several shots, hitting a business window and the door of another nearby location.

Witness video captured the moment the car plowed into the crowd and the sound of gunfire immediately following.

There were no reports of gunshot injuries. The four victims from the crash were taken to the hospital. Two have since been released, according to police spokesperson Carl Baker.

The driver fled the scene heading west on Citrus Avenue, leaving a trail of leaking fluid from the vehicle. Investigators are gathering statements from the large group of witnesses present and searching for the suspect.

Redlands Police are urging anyone with information to contact Detective Thomas Williams at (909) 557-6814 or via email at twilliams@redlandspolice.org.
